How long does Tianeptine take to work?

Most antidepressants require 2–4 weeks to produce noticeable improvement, with full effect at 6–8 weeks.

Can Tianeptine be stopped suddenly?

Never stop antidepressants abruptly — discontinuation syndrome (dizziness, flu-like symptoms, electric shock sensations) can occur. Taper gradually over weeks under physician supervision. SSRIs/SNRIs and paroxetine particularly require slow tapering. TCAs should be reduced slowly.
