Drugs General ("Drugs General", "we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of every individual who visits, registers with, or purchases from our platform.   • Usage data: pages viewed, search queries, click paths, session duration, referral source.

C. Sensitive Personal Data (SPDI)

Prescription information and health-related product purchases may constitute Sensitive Personal Data or Information (SPDI) under Rule 3 of the SPDI Rules, 2011. We collect this data only where necessary to process a lawful prescription-based order, we obtain your express consent before doing so, and we apply heightened security and access controls to it.

3. Lawful Basis for Processing

We process your personal data on the following lawful bases:

Contractual Necessity: To fulfil your order, process payment, arrange shipping, and provide customer support.
Consent: For marketing emails and newsletters (withdrawable at any time), and for processing SPDI such as prescriptions.
Legitimate Interests: To prevent fraud, improve our platform, personalise your browsing experience, and conduct analytics — provided these interests do not override your fundamental rights.
Legal Obligation: To comply with Indian tax, customs, pharmaceutical, and consumer protection law; to respond to lawful requests from public authorities.

8. Security Measures

No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we take all commercially reasonable steps to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your Rights

We will respond to all verified requests within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity before processing a request. Where we cannot fulfil a request, we will explain why.

10. International Transfers

Drugs General processes data in India. When we transfer data to couriers, payment processors, or technology partners located outside India, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including: Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for transfers to non-adequate countries under GDPR; contractual obligations on recipients binding them to equivalent data-protection standards; and transfer only of the minimum data necessary to deliver the relevant service.
